Brief:

Morgan & Owens began shooting formally as a team in 2004, after having studied and worked alongside each other since 1997. With a similar influences and background, our styles and workflow came together over 5 years in the editorial market, shooting assignments for magazines. Following a move to Singapore in July 2009, we have grown our clientele for assignment work and redoubled our focus on personal projects.

In addition to her work with Morgan & Owens, Jessie Morgan-Owens is an Assistant Professor of American Literature at Nanyang Technological University where she teaches courses such as “Photography and Literature” and “Nineteenth-Century American Literature and Culture.” Her current research projects concern early photography, literature, and social reform movements.
